In order to have diversity in a classroom it is important that the teacher organizes the class. Otherwise pupils who know each other will go together and not mix up when forming groups.

We are given a cartoon from wulfmorgenthaler, and we have to guess what they are saying.
We then mix up the groups to exchange ideas about the cartoon.

We then go to the hall, form a line and we are asked some questions. We take one step forward if it’s right and one step back if it’s wrong – to illustrate diversity.
After this we return to the classroom and discuss in groups what a good way of showing diversity in the classcould be.
- Personal presentations about yourself or another pupil
- Create a cookbook with each pupil's favourite dish
- Do a project on another culture besides your own
If anybody is excluded in a classroom, you as a teacher have to work with diversity - everybody have to be able to work together. If someone is excluded, the learning environment is not optional.
